The Colombian guild that seeks to support and promote the adoption of Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in Colombia, named AsoBlockchain, will hold this February 15 the first local Blockchain and crypto debate, in which candidates to the House of Representatives and the Senate of Colombia will participate.
The debate is organized by the AsoBlockchain team in alliance with Cripto Latin Fest, Suárez Venegas Abogados, Bitsionarys and Villas Capital Commerce, and will feature the participation of Mauricio Toro, congressman and candidate to the House of Representatives for the Green Party; Edward Rodríguez, congressman and candidate to the Senate for the Democratic Center Party; and Didier Carrillo, candidate to the Senate for the Colombia Justa Libre / Mira Coalition.
The guests will discuss and present their perspectives on the current state of Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in the country from legal, regulatory and economic perspectives, everything that has been done on this issue and approaches on future scenarios and plans to promote from the positions to which they aspire to be elected.
Let’s keep in mind that the current scenario for Blockchain and cryptocurrencies in Colombia is a very busy one, since the country is one of the most representative in terms of volume of commercial operations in the region.
That is why regulatory and tax bodies are placing greater emphasis on addressing the use of cryptocurrencies amid growing global adoption.
