This Saturday, February 12, the 1st meeting of entrepreneurs, artists and enthusiasts of the crypto world will take place in Havana, Cuba.
The workshop was held at the La Marca workshop, a tattoo workshop studio, located in Old Havana, which for seven years has become a center for tattoos, art, theater and music, but has also more recently become an epicenter of activities for groups of both gamers and lovers of cryptocurrencies.
The event, which can be accessed from La Marca’s social networks, will be face-to-face for a group that registers, but it will also be broadcast online.
Speakers on crypto, metaverse, NFT
During the workshop, the myths and truths of the metaverse, the Bitcoin ecosystem in Cuba, will be discussed, taking into account the reality of that country and the growing NFT community on the island.
Everything indicates that it is an event that will reveal much that is not known about the cryptographic ecosystem in Cuba, a country that in August 2021 regulated the use of cryptocurrencies for commercial transactions.
Likewise, the country’s crypto community has made some previous demonstrations of coming together. In July of last year, during the protests against the government, some influencers and startups worked together to receive donations in crypto in those moments of crisis and help hundreds of people affected by lack of food and medical supplies.
