Bison Trails has announced the launch of the Polkadot Indexer, a new API for accessing Polkadot and Kusama blockchain data.
It is a robust and efficient way to access alternative data visualizations of these two blockchains, track relevant trends, and discover insights to optimize the participation and performance of applications with fewer demands on their nodes.
The uses of Polkadot Indexer from Bison Trails
Polkadot Indexer from Bison Trails lends itself to a number of use cases, both for developers and institutions, including wallets, exchanges, custody services, staking-as-a-service providers and professional validators, who will be able to use the indexer to share transactions and balance information with their customers.
Data aggregators and blockchain analytics companies will also be able to use it to collect data on significant events, for example to better understand their underlying causes.
In addition, developers creating applications on Polkadot and Kusama will be able to access blockchain data more quickly.
Bison Trails is a company that offers a platform as a blockchain infrastructure service to start and run highly available nodes on any blockchain network. It is headquartered in New York City.
The CTO of Bison Trails, Aaron Henshaw, said:
“Polkadot’s unique infrastructure makes it a great candidate for developers to build dApps and other robust applications. With growing adoption from participants and developers, we saw a critical need for better indexing. Our Polkadot Indexer reduces the overhead of querying nodes and makes building great applications on top of Polkadot, and other Substrate networks like Kusama, even easier”.
The CEO of Bison Trails, Joe Lallouz, added:
“Efficient access to data and insights is the foundation of participation and building successful blockchain applications. Our new Polkadot Indexer enables teams to uncover critical data and insights faster than ever while saving engineering time and resources from having to build and maintain indexing applications in-house”.
